DOIT - Dermatology Online with Interactive Technology

In the field of medicine, Dermatology is an ideal speciality to develop multimedial teaching concepts. This online teaching project is being realised by the Department of Dermatology at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, together with the Universities of Basel, Berne, Lausanne and Jena, and is being supported by the Swiss Government and the SwissVirtualCampus (SVC).

DOIT consists of three main parts:

• CyberLecture; a virtual lecture text and atlas.
• CyberTrainer; an interactive clinical training program
• CyberForum; a discussion platform with tutors.

... and several additional functions.

The combined work with these modules allows for choosing one's own way at one's own pace through the basics of Dermatology, with a problem based learning approach.

DOIT is based on the Swiss Learning Objectives (SLO) Catalogue, which itself is in line with the internationally used Dutch learning catalogue.
